One needs to come to terms with the “Big” but very simple concepts
of “Love, hatred, war, peace, beauty, ugliness, crime, sympathy,
Death, Youth, etc…”
Try to observe/comprehend the following facts for pursuing inner
peace:
1. Inside the most beautiful things in life there is a minimum level
of ugliness.
2. Inside the ugliest thing on earth there is a certain degree of
shining beauty.
3. Inside the most generous and free-giving human there is a degree
of greed.
4. Inside the darkest and most backward society there is a real
potential for enlightenment.
Example: If one can’t see a degree of beauty in the ugliest thing
then one can’t enjoy absolute beauty. It is like this; Inside Black
there is a degree of White. Inside love there is a degree of
anti-love.
“Nothing” can not exist on its own. “Nothing” needs “Everything” in
order to achieve stability and harmony.
It is like when two persons are facing each other in a tough
argument where each one is convinced his/her version of the argument
is right. Actually each side in an argument is both “right” and
“wrong”.
“Good” and “bad” coexist in perfect harmony.
“Love” and “hatred” coexist in perfect harmony.
“Life” and “Death” coexist in perfect harmony.
“Beauty” and “ugliness” coexist in perfect harmony.
“Peace” and “war” also coexist in a perfect global balance.
When your “laugh” is very extent you start to “cry”.
The moment you “win” the lottery ticket is the very moment when you
start “loosing” some of your friends or partners.
That’s why for me it is NOT what side of the story or argument I
take but it is the awareness that “balance” and harmony are the
prevailing aspects that keep our globe intact, and our minds sound.
This perspective is healthy because it helps you understand the
bigger picture in any situation or argument.
How much time do we have left? Not much.
As I once read; Life is an interval in death. We have not much time
left in this short interval.
